The Kingsbridge Food and Music Festival is a FREE event arranged by local businesses and volunteers to bring together and celebrate this amazing town.


After three lost years, we came back in 2024 and it was amazing!

Thursday 30th May

Dust Devils Starts at 8.30.pm

As a pre festival taster, this fantastic band offer an eclectic range of Multi Instrumental Acoustic Bluegrass,  Americana, Blues and Roots, with interesting takes of songs that will wet your pallet for the main event. All in the great atmosphere of The Old Warehouse , just opposite the square.




Friday 31st May  Starts at 6pm

6.10 - 7.20 pm Get Wicked   

Early evening kicks off with 'Get Wicked', a 7-piece electro swing band based in the South West. Always nice and sometimes a bit naughty!

7.45 - 9.00 pm The Greater Good,

Rising band 'The Greater Good', originally from Leeds, they have been getting plenty of National radio plays, they have an impressive repertoire of original songs and are destined for greater things.

9.30 - 11.00 pm General Confusion

Headlining Friday, Commitments, James Brown. As seen at the Hurligham Club. London Savoy, Cafe Royal, Roof Gardens & & &..... playing an infectious set of classic hits closing Friday with an irresistible party atmosphere.

Saturday 1st June Music starts at Midday

12.00 Midday/Kingsbridge Community College's 'The Collective'

 A hugely talented group of music students playing an impressive mixture of known and original songs. Expect late morning


2 pm Carousel

Carousel, Sarah, Susie, Elaine and Elaine are a medal winning a Cappella quartet singing close harmony. Enjoy a mixture of familiar songs and classic tunes performed with ringing chords and a love of singing.


3 pm Charlie Blackwood

Charlie Blackwood (Devon, UK) is a new emerging singer, songwriter and guitarist. His energetic performances and fresh style, often described as having a 'pop/country vibe', have got him noticed on the local scene, national festivals and more recently with BBC Music Introducing. https://charlieblackwood.uk/


4.10 - 5.20 pm  Ben Carr Duo

Local musician takes the stage playing his style of delta blues slide, With elements of blues, jazz, folk, and self-penned songs are portrayed through warm and soulful singing. Through his music, Ben celebrates blues heroes such as Bessie Smith, Lead Belly, Big Bill Broonzy, Robert Johnson, and Howlin’ Wolf

5.50 - 7.00 pm  Joanna Cooke and her band

 Playing a soulful set of songs, with many originals, Joanna has had remarkable success, most recently providing her vocals to a hit record that has received a major response from Radio 1 and other National stations. 7.40 - 9.00 pm  SOS Band,

 Early evening, an entirely original blend of today's R&B-infused Pop-Rock Funk and Hip-Hop. With one member being local to Kingsbridge, the guys have been receiving rave reviews and promise a lively evening playing original songs.

Dr Oz,
Headlining Saturday the ever-popular popular Dr Oz will guarantee a ripping party atmosphere with their unique take on classic tunes, certain to raise the roof, if we had one! Dr Oz is one of the South West’s most exciting and in-demand live acts. With a medley of band music that sets the mood for Sunday lunchtime. Kingsbridge Silver Band was founded over 100 years ago in 1921 and has been playing ever since.

1.20 - 2.20 pm The Kingsmen

2.40 - 4.00 pm Banned From The Moor

Mid Afternoon we look forward to the first appearance of ‘Banned from the Moor’. An authentic folk band offering the opportunity to have a jig and dance off lunch from the wide and varied artisan food supplied. They describe themselves as "Folk Rock from Dartmoor"

Barbican Bao

We are a young, enthusiastic team serving Asian inspired street food, predominately Bao Buns with 50% of our menu being vegan. Every dish we create is original, packed full of bold, exciting & refreshing flavours. All our sauces and meats are slow cooked creating a deep, rich flavour.

Churros

Delicious churros with genuine Belgian chocolate dips. Choose from milk, white or dark chocolate. Why not share a portion with your friends ?

German Sausage

Genuine German sausages cooked over charcoal on our large swing grill. Choose from traditional bratwurst, kasewurst (cheese), Krakauer (bacon), chilliwurst and special currywurst. We even have vegan sausages for those that don’t fancy meat.

World Foods

World food will be returning to Kingsbridge Food and music Festival after having a break and is planning on spoiling the people of Kingsbridge with its legendery wraps with fillings such as Persian saffron chicken,lamb kebab and the most amazing vegan falafel with a huge number of fresh salads.

Artisan Pizzeria

Artisan Pizzeria is based in the Dartmouth area, using local produce to make our pizzas taste great and fresh. We have found some great ingredients for our pizzas here in Dartmouth and the surrounding area including the award winning Sharpham Cheese, Dartmouth Butchers and Fresh Flour. We bake them in our wood fire oven to give them a unique flavour and apply generous toppings to make them full of flavour.

Authentic Thai food is the best Street food for all your Events and festivals needs. Cooked with fresh ingredients, and we have our own homemade sauce and of course we have friendly staff too !

Calancombe Wines

Calancombe Wine Estate is situated nr Modbury in South Devon, we produce a range of award-winning still and sparkling wines made entirely from fruit grown on the estate. Enjoy our wines and fantastic food at our cellar door restaurant - Bookings can be made online or by calling 01548 830905.

South Devon Chilli Farm

The South Devon Chilli Farm has over 20 years of chilli-growing and cooking expertise. Our ‘Seed to Sauce’ ethos means the chillies we nurture only travel a few metres across the farm into our kitchen, to be turned into our award-winning products. Zero food miles here! We sell our products online, at markets and from our onsite Farm Shop.

Curious Crumbs

Curious Crumbs is a local business who makes vegan and non gluten cookies ! They’re perfect for people with intolerances, but you’d never be able to tell as they’re made using the best ingredients.

Salcombe Dairy

Salcombe Dairy, produce ice cream and sorbets in Salcombe. We use Devon milk and double cream. It is all gluten, egg and nut free, all made with natural products.

Bosko Bus

The Bosko Bus is a gut conscious food truck that specialises in creating vibrant and nourishing street food using homemade ferments w/ a heavy influence from Asian cuisine. As well as on the go gut happy food we also provide locally sourced coffee from The Curator & a range of herbal tea as well as other consciously delicious hot drinks.

Devon Cove and Barrel and Still

We create award-winning Cove Vodka and Liqueurs using King Edward potatoes, lovingly grown on our family farm overlooking Hope Cove. We’ll be serving a selection of delicious cocktails and mocktails using our super smooth vodka, liqueurs, rum, fresh fruit and premium mixers. Visit our Kingsbridge shop for tasters, bottles and gifts. Barrel and Still will be well known to many, and will be serving up some of their great wines and Prosecco.

 

The Green Bus/ Bar

We are an Independent, Local, business , specialising in the promotion of loacal award-winning beers, with sustainable brewing methods and local ingredients. Salcombe brewery products are delicious and refreshing, and they also support the local community and environment.

This isn't our first rodeo you know? We may have been locked-down for the past three years with not so much as a 'work-event' to keep us entertained, but before 2020 the festival has been rocking Kingsbridge for eight years!
